The therapeutic relationship a counselor forms with each client can be the most powerful tool for helping clients change

John Johnson II, LCPC

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, I believe that acceptance of your authentic self is the foundation for a fulfilling and meaningful life. My goal is to help clients explore their experiences with compassion, connect to their values, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence, one intentional step at a time.

Since 2015, I’ve worked in diverse mental health settings including community mental health, crisis response, inpatient care, and outpatient therapy. Through these experiences, I’ve supported individuals facing a wide spectrum of challenges, and I remain deeply committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space for people navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, burnout, and emotional overwhelm.

While I work with clients from all walks of life, I hold a special passion for supporting neurodivergent adults, particularly those who were diagnosed later in life. As a neurodivergent African American male who received my own diagnosis in adulthood, I understand how complex and nonlinear the path toward self-discovery and self-acceptance can be. I approach each client’s journey with empathy, openness, and respect for their unique lived experience.

At ClearSight Counseling, therapy is not about “fixing” you, it’s about helping you build a deeper relationship with yourself, develop psychological flexibility, and align your actions with what truly matters to you. Whether you’re struggling with inner criticism, navigating a major life change, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to walk alongside you.

If you believe we might be a good fit, I’d be honored to connect with you.
